How Do Vein Treatments Work?
Vein treatments work by closing off unhealthy veins, just in different ways!
Our state-of-the-art treatments use mild heat, gentle laser technology, radio waves, and foam or adhesive medicines. Once closed, blood flow naturally reroutes through neighboring healthy veins.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
A popular treatment option for varicose veins is radiofrequency ablation, or RFA. It is a minimally invasive, radio wave-based treatment for large, unhealthy varicose veins.
One of the options we use to treat varicose veins is a laser-based treatment called endovenous laser ablation, or EVLA. This procedure closes problematic veins so that blood is rerouted to healthier pathways.
One of the newest available varicose vein treatments, VenaSeal, an FDA-approved injectable medical-grade adhesive that gently closes off diseased veins – reducing their appearance and relieving painful symptoms.
These veins are small damaged veins with trapped blood that appear on the surface of the skin and resemble the delicate strands of a spider’s web. Spider veins may cause insecurity as they are visible behind knees, along thighs and calves, and in the pelvic region—wherever veins are working against gravity. These weakened blood vessels are a cosmetic nuisance but usually not painful.
